About Olivier Laflaive Wines

Olivier Leflaive wines come from villages in France's famed Burgundy wine producing region that all offer their own distinctive flavor of grape. M. Leflaive and his comrades use the expertise gathered over a lifetime of winemaking to select those grapes from wineries in the Côte d’Or, arguably the world's premier wine region. Olivier Leflaive wines are made of grapes selected for a perfect blend, and thus best present the flavor of the village.

The heart of Burgundy

The heart of Olivier Leflaive wines is in the village of Puligny-Montrachet, where it operates a tasting room and restaurant open for lunch in season. It is in this village where a calcerous subsoil along with the naturally occurring clay gives rise to the certain terroir of the local wines. Spend an afternoon tasting the Leflaive wines of the region, working your way through chardonnays into the best of the best.

Superior whites

Olivier Leflaive produces “grand vins” wines of Burgundy, and as such is among the great producers in the world. The label's operations sits in the middle of the villages that provide five of the six grand crus appellations for Cote de Beaune whites. Franck Grux, the technical director, purchases grapes for the whites from local vineyards, and Olivier Leflaive supervises the aging of the wines.

Olivier Leflaive wines are among the best in the world, due to the great care with which they are aged and bottled, and the superior grapes from which they are made. On your next trip to France, stop in and say bonjour to the winery in Puligny-Montrachet.
